First we select candidates who have excelled throughout their academic career. Our tutors know the exam systems from personal experience as well as from teaching and tutoring. All of our tutors have undergraduate degrees and have attended top universities. Many are still teaching in schools or have recently retired.
Interview
We meet and interview all our tutors personally. At the interview we select individuals who show us that they are excellent teachers and understand how people learn. We ask them to explain concepts and we test their understanding of the academic issues that may arise. We are also looking for friendly people who will work well with our clients so making the learning process enjoyable.
We check all of our tutors academic certificates and identity documents. We also require that they show us an original Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau that is not less than 2 years old for your absolute peace of mind.
Training
Our unique training programme ensures that ever tutor that joins our books has the benefit of over thirty years experience of tutoring. We outline how to approach the students, the issues surrounding different learning styles and practical techniques to make lessons effective. We also train them to identify how to make the quickest progress towards a student’s goals and plan a course of tuition accordingly.
